The road to recovery often requires more than bed rest. Colquitt Regional’s Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy Departments develop individual treatment plans for each patient. In Physical Therapy, we strive to restore mobility, strength and maximum functional potential of each patient. Our staff includes a physical therapist certified to assess the functional capabilities of an injured worker returning to the job site. In addition, the PT Department provides education for the prevention and treatment of back injuries, repetitive motion injuries and the effects of osteoporosis. Our Speech Therapy Department provides a full range of diagnostic and treament services for patients of all ages who experience swallowing and communication impairments. These difficulties may be the result of a stroke, head injury or neurological disease such as Parkinson’s and Cerebral Palsy. Other conditions which may be diagnosed and treated are autism, stuttering, language and voice disorders.
