
Educational Services
The Educational Service’s department works in conjunction with other CRMC departments to assess and provide for the educational needs of our patients and our community. Our purpose is to enhance the quality of care provided to citizens of Colquitt County and the surrounding counties through assessment of educational needs and provision of quality education programs.
Patient Education
We provide inpatient and outpatient education on various illnesses and diseases as ordered by the physician.
Diabetes Education
Our diabetes self-management program is recognized by the American Diabetes Association. Our program consists of individual or group classes, which cover all aspects of diabetes management for Type 1, Type 2, or gestational diabetes.
Diabetes Support Group
We meet on the 4th Tuesday of most months to listen to a speaker with an interest in diabetes and to share questions/concerns.
Nursing Education
Our nurse education coordinator works with nurses throughout the medical center to identify educational needs and provide programs to meet those needs.
Community Education
Our community education coordinator is here to identify community education needs, including educationneeds of businesses, and to provide education programs as nedded. She may be reached at 229-890-9267. Ongoing classes offered are: American Heart Association’s Adult Heartsaver CPR, Pediatric CPR, Healthcare Provider CPR and American Safety and health’s First Aid and Bloodborne pathogens. We will offer classes to meet your particular needs.
