CRMC 2009 Employee of the Year

Colquitt Regional Medical Center honored its dedicated employees for their years of service to the hospital and community at the 69th Annual Awards Banquet.

The banquet, hosted by CRMC President Jim Lowry and Colquitt County Hospital Authority Chairman Brooks Sheldon, recognized CRMC employees and medical staff members.

Kesia Pettis received the top honor of CRMC employee of the year. Pettis works as the outpatient lab technician for the laboratory department. She has been an employee at CRMC since 2003.

“I am honored to know that my peers appreciate me and the work I do,” Pettis said. “It’s a good feeling”

The employee of the year is chosen from the 12 employees of the month from the previous year and is then voted on by CRMC employees.

Pettis and her husband, Leroy Pettis, have been married for 15 years. They have 3 children and 1 granddaughter. The family attends House of Deliverance Church in Thomasville. While not at work Pettis enjoys fishing, travel and spending time with her family.

The banquet also honored employees marking length of service anniversaries of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 or more years.
