Senator Praises CRMC on Senate Floor

U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss presented to Colquitt Regional Medical Center a framed copy of a page from the Congressional Record of comments he made on the floor of the U.S. Senate in recognition of the hospital’s 70th anniversary.

The framed statement, which was presented Tuesday to Brooks Sheldon, chairman of the Colquitt County Hospital Authority, and Jim Lowry, president and CEO of Colquitt Regional, traced the history of the senator’s hometown hospital from its beginning in 1939 to the state-of-the-art facility it is today and praised the people both past and present who made it possible.

“All of the employees and operators at Colquitt Regional – from the professionals, the administration and the day-to-day personnel, including our Pink Ladies, who are our volunteers, do an outstanding job of making this hospital a truly fine medical facility serving a very broad area in the rural southwestern part of my state,” Sen. Chambliss said. “The folks at Colquitt Regional do a tremendous job in serving the community.”
