Colquitt Regional Medical Center Celebrates Certified Nurses Day

Colquitt Regional Medical Center celebrated Certified Nurses Day on March 19, 2010 by honoring its board certified nurses. Board certification in specialty areas of nursing plays an important role in the assurance of a high quality of care for patients at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Nursing has become increasingly complex and while a registered nurse’s (R.N.) license assures general nursing practice and knowledge of the field, a certified nurse has passed testes in their specific field of employment and/or interest. There are many nursing certification specialties such as medical-surgical, pediatric, pain management, cardiac vascular, oncology, hospice, case management, emergency nursing, critical care and many others.

Colquitt Regional has 40 board certified nurses on staff.
