Orthopedic Surgeon Joins D.W. Adcock Clinic
Dr. Saurabh Khakharia has joined the Colquitt Regional Medical Staff and has begun his practice in the D.W. Adcock Orthopedic Clinic.
Dr. Khakharia, who will practice with Dr. Robert Bartosh and Dr. Charles Davis, was most recently a Clinical Fellow at the Insall Scott Kelly Institute at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.
After graduating with honors from Pt. J.N.M. Medical School in India, he completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal, India. This was followed by two years of advanced orthopedic surgical training provided by the Diplomate National Board in India, and a year-long fellowship specializing in knee procedures.
After coming to the United States in 2006, he received training in joint replacement as an international fellow at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, where he was also actively involved in research. That was followed by another fellowship in adult reconstruction and joint replacement at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va., before his most recent fellowship in adult reconstruction and sports medicine in New York.
Dr. Khakharia has been actively involved in orthopedic research and has published articles in scientific journals. His interests are limb lengthening, adult reconstructive surgeries and joint replacement.
