Regional EMS Honors Lifesavers

The Southwest Georgia Region VIII Emergency Medical Services awarded its life-savers at its annual banquet held at the Spence Field Community Center.

Following an introduction and a meal, Region 8 handed out a variety of awards. Among those were 131 certificates given out to EMS personnel for saving a patient’s life before they arrived at a hospital.

Pre-hospital Saver award recipients from Colquitt County Emergency Medical Services were Paul Bynum, Mitchell Fountain, Michael Barnes, Nancy Patterson, Billy Houston, Dustin Hart and Gabe Knight.

Other Colquitt Regional Medical Center EMS personnel who received a life saver award for their work in surrounding counties are Ken Sikes, Jody King, Matt Burgess, Anthony McCoy and David Strickland.
